For me personally, I wouldn’t. I started with a mixed set of clubs and it was very hard to get consistency in distance with them. Not sure if your country has places like Play It Again Sports, but you can usually find some good Gi irons in there. TaylorMade Burner irons you could find for around $200 USD(not sure what that is for AUD.)
Lose the chipper, for one. The putter is a Bullseye knock-off, which could be good or bad. How will you ever figure shot distances with all those loft/shaft differences?
Tax returns and company bonus coming in around March. I’m looking to get a new hybrid, some fairway woods, and a new driver. Would love to get some input on you guys’ favorite brands/models. I have heard really good things about Titleist woods/driver. My dad has a TSR2 that I have hit a few times and liked it. I also really like Taylor Mades (never hit any but seen and heard good things). Kind looking for a mix of forgiveness and control. Distance isn’t a major issue for me. Very open to any suggestions!
Looking to purchase some preowned clubs to upgrade from my worn G15 setup. Nothing wrong with the old Pings but I have a few business putting over the next month and 3 lined up for August and sept. Looking at Callaway Preowned options 1. Epic Speed Driver, 3 wood and Epic Super hybrid and Apex DCB irons and some Jaws wedges $1050 2. Stealth 2 driver, fairway hybrid and irons plus Jaws wedges $1020 Narrow it down to these as I have hit these before and like both and don’t need the newest or mintyest just value. I'm writing this hoping to reach out to anyone for reviews on the Mitsubishi Kai'Li Red X-Flex shaft that comes stock on the Stealth 2 Plus Fairway woods. I'm looking to upgrade from my SIM 2 Max 3&5 Wood due to the ball flight ballooning more and more as my swing has gotten more consistent and Faster. I feel like I have much more distance and a lower ball flight I could unlock by upgrading both to a lower spinning shaft and head. **Current Stats with current clubs:** 3-Wood: 112MPH Swing speed w/150s MPH ball speed = 240 Yards 5-Wood: 108MPH Swing speed w/140s MPH ball speed = 230 Yards The shaft's Launch and Spin profiles on the Taylormade website are concerning to me as I'm worried I'll spend the money just to find out the shafts aren't right for me. Before you comment saying I should get fit first (I know you're right lol), I have the opportunity to get the Stealth 2+ 3&5 wood at a significant discount, it would just mean I would be buying them with their retail shafts. My concerns mostly come from if the Kai'Li shaft will be counter-productive and too high launching and spinning for the lower spin and launch I hope to achieve with this upgrade.
