The Odyssey DFX 2025 putter is a popular choice, particularly among golfers seeking a soft feel at impact. Many reviewers highlight the DFX insert as a key feature. The putter is available in various models, including the 2-Ball, #7, and Rossie, catering to different preferences in head shape and alignment. The DFX line is known for its affordability, making it an attractive option for golfers of all levels. The reviews analyzed span a range of handicaps, from beginners to experienced players, offering a broad perspective on the putter's performance. The putter is often found at a discount, which contributes to its value proposition.
The most consistent praise for the Odyssey DFX 2025 putter centers on its soft feel. Several users specifically mention the DFX insert, noting its comfortable impact sensation. This soft feel is often cited as contributing to improved touch and control on the greens. However, the soft feel can also be a drawback for some golfers. Several reviewers mention difficulty judging distance, particularly on longer putts. This suggests that the putter's soft face may require some adjustment for those accustomed to firmer putters. The 2-Ball model is mentioned as being more consistent for some users. Some users also like the clean look of the black and white design.
Pros:
* Soft Feel: The DFX insert provides a remarkably soft feel at impact, which many golfers find appealing.
* Affordable: The putter is often available at a lower price point, offering excellent value for money.
* Variety of Models: Available in multiple head shapes (2-Ball, #7, Rossie, etc.), catering to different alignment preferences.
* Clean Design: The black and white color scheme is praised for its clean and classic look.
* Improved Touch: Many users report improved touch and control on the greens due to the soft feel.
* Good for Beginners: The ease of use and forgiveness make it a good option for beginners.
Cons:
* Distance Control: Some users struggle with distance control, especially on longer putts, due to the soft insert.
* Not for Everyone: The soft feel may not suit golfers who prefer a firmer feel at impact.
* Potential for Mis-hits: While generally forgiving, the putter's design may not be as forgiving as some other models.
The Odyssey DFX 2025 putter is a solid choice for golfers seeking a soft-feeling putter at an affordable price. Its soft insert is a major selling point, providing excellent touch and feel. However, golfers should be aware of the potential for distance control issues, especially if they are accustomed to firmer putters. The variety of models ensures that there is a DFX putter to suit most golfers' preferences. Overall, the DFX 2025 offers a good balance of performance, value, and feel, making it a worthwhile consideration for golfers looking to upgrade their putter. The putter is a good choice for beginners and experienced players alike, but it is essential to consider your putting style and preferences before making a purchase. If you like a soft feel, this putter is an excellent choice. If you prefer a firmer feel, you may want to look elsewhere.

Hi there, I recently purchased an odyssey 2ball DFX putter and got to play a round with it yesterday, personally I thought it was quite good. It was a bit of a gamble purchasing it since I couldn't find any info on it when I was considering it. I was curious to see what anyone here thinks of it, as there seems to be very little online apart from the standard marketing descriptions.
I’ve been looking at these two putters, tried them out at the local store, liked and hit the two of them equally well. The 2-ball has an ongoing sale which makes it about 20€ cheaper than the 7 (previously, the 2-ball was actually 30€ more expensive). I’m not sure which putter to get (I might be leaning the 2-ball way, though). Do you guys have any recommendations?
