This review analyzes 57 real user reviews of the Hamilton Beach 7-Speed Stand Mixer to give you the truth about this popular kitchen appliance. We've sifted through the noise to identify recurring praises, complaints, and potential deal-breakers to help you decide if it's the right mixer for your needs.
The Hamilton Beach 7-Speed Stand Mixer is marketed as an affordable alternative to higher-end models like KitchenAid. It aims to provide essential mixing functions for baking and cooking without breaking the bank. It boasts multiple speeds and attachments, promising versatility for various recipes. However, user experiences are quite varied, with some praising its performance and others expressing disappointment.
Performance is where the reviews diverge the most. Several users report that the mixer struggles with thicker doughs or larger batches. Some reviewers mentioned that the mixer doesn't reach the bottom of the bowl effectively, requiring frequent scraping. One user did a "dime test" and found that the mixer didn't move the dime at all, even when pushing down. This is a sign that the mixer isn't properly mixing ingredients at the bottom of the bowl. On the other hand, some users have had positive experiences, stating that it works well for their needs, especially for lighter tasks. However, a recurring theme is its limitations when compared to more powerful mixers.
Based on user reviews, here's a breakdown of the key pros and cons:
Pros:
* Easy to use and assemble
* Affordable price point
* Multiple speed settings
* Suitable for basic mixing tasks
* Lightweight and easy to store
Cons:
* Durability concerns, especially with the tilt button
* Inconsistent mixing, struggles with thicker doughs
* Requires frequent scraping of the bowl
* Attachments may not reach the bottom of the bowl
* No slow stir speed for some users
The Hamilton Beach 7-Speed Stand Mixer can be a decent option if you're on a tight budget and only need it for light mixing tasks. However, if you frequently bake bread or work with heavy doughs, you might find its performance lacking. The durability concerns and inconsistent mixing are significant drawbacks to consider. While some users have had positive experiences, the recurring complaints suggest that it may be worth investing in a more robust and reliable stand mixer if your budget allows. Consider alternatives if you need a mixer for more demanding recipes or long-term use.
Indulgence with little guilt. I love Kind bars and I love chocolate, so this is my favorite. I'm a nut for healthy options and this packs a punch. I carry a bar in my purse at all times because I often start out on errands and have forgotten to eat. I sometimes end up feeling uncomfortable and am likely to stop at some fast food place or buy candy bars if I don't have something better with me. This solves my problem. These bars are super tasty and far healthier than a candy bar. No bad ingredients. Everything in them is tasty and identifiable. You can see the dried fruit and nuts.I do wish the Kind bar wrappers were consistently easier to open. Some are fine, but some don't open well and some of the bars are sticky so they are difficult extract from the wrappers. This particular kind is not sticky in that way. The wrapper opens well and the bars slide out. I suppose if it's super hot, the chocolate might melt, so I don't leave any bars in the car, but since they are relatively small carrying one in my purse works well.Luckily I can find Kind bars in my local store, but I haven't seen this particular type and find I like them so well, I'll set up auto delivery. For those on the go, a Kind bar and an apple stand in for a fine lunch which is surprisingly satisfying and filling and diet friendly to boot. I've tried lots of supposedly healthy snack bars and have never been impressed enough to buy more. These are the exception. Highly recommended.
Delicious AND Healthy. Dark Chocolate Cherry Kind bars are amazing! This was my first time trying out Kind bars and I am hooked. They taste fantastic and are all natural, you can pronounce everything on the short ingredient list. They are proven to help with weight loss due to their nutrient dense, no refined sugar ingredients. Further, for the size of the bar they have perfectly formulated them to be full of flavor (real flavor, think dark chocolate cherry ice cream with nuts, none of that artificial flavor crap!) with the proper balance to ensure a low glycemic index while still providing the right balance of carbs, protein and healthy fats. I have yet to try any of the other flavors, because I am so partial to this particular bar, but I highly recommend. I usually carry them in my bag for anytime I feel hungry or feel a sugar craving coming on. These bars work great for both, keeping me full and helping me avoid unhealthy snacks and added calories throughout my day. For everything these bars do in keeping me healthy and feeling full on my busy days, they are well worth the price for each bar (~$1.30/ea).
Tastes Great, OK Price. These KIND bars are a nice healthier alternative to grocery store granola bars (although they still have a large amount of sugar.) they taste great and have pretty good ingredients. The only issue I have is that you can get better prices at costco (~$1 per bar) although the selection at my costco was much smaller (only had two types of bars.) Overall this is a good product at a decent price, although you can probably find KIND bars cheaper elswhere, although maybe not this exact type.
Great taste. When compared to other 'chewy' type bars, I would give it five stars. We bought a different type of Kind bar at an Earthfare grocery store a few weeks ago when they were on sale. We went back later and bought a chocolate Kind bar, but they cost two dollars each so I decided to look on Amazon. So I bought a box of the dark chocolate ones for I think a $1.47 each.They cost at least three times as much as other chewy bars and I do not know whether there is any data to show that they are more healthy than other chewy bars, but I do know that they taste quite a bit better. Dark chocolate has many antioxidants and note that dark chocolate is second on the list of ingredients.We eat them as an extra breakfast dessert every few days and since they are chewy, it slows down the amount of other foods that you may want to eat.,
Where are the cashews?. These are tasty and portable, so great for taking with you instead of stopping for a meal. My main problem with many of the Kind bars that mention a specific nut on the label is that they seldom have very many of that nut in the bar.I really don't think it's ethical or truthful to sell these as Dark Chocolate Cherry, "CASHEW" bars when the main ingredient is "Almonds."The list reads: Almonds, dark chocolate, cherries, cranberries, cashews, peanuts, raisins, honey, etc. They still taste OK, but since I'm not that fond of almonds, I was very disappointed.
