The FootJoy HyperFlex golf shoes (2025) aim to provide a blend of comfort, performance, and style. These shoes are designed for golfers seeking a balance between flexibility and support. Based on the reviews, the HyperFlex seems to deliver on its promise of comfort, but there are some significant issues to consider before purchasing. The reviews analyzed highlight both positive and negative aspects, providing a comprehensive view of the product's strengths and weaknesses.
Many reviewers praise the HyperFlex for its comfort. Several users specifically mention the shoe's cushioning and overall feel, with some calling it "amazeballs" and "very comfortable right out of the box." The grip is also a strong point, with one reviewer noting "excellent grip." However, the performance is somewhat limited by the reported sizing issues. Several reviewers found the shoes ran large, requiring them to order a size down from their usual shoe size. One reviewer even found that a size 8.5 was still too large. This inconsistency in sizing could lead to an uncomfortable fit for some, which would impact the shoe's overall performance.
Some reviewers also noted issues with lateral support, especially on uneven terrain. One user experienced "a lateral support issue" and found the support "very weak." This could be a significant drawback for golfers who play on hilly courses or those who require a high level of stability during their swing.
Additionally, one reviewer mentioned that the shoe's material is prone to staining and not suitable for winter use. This limits the shoe's versatility and could be a concern for golfers who play in various weather conditions.
Pros:
* Exceptional Comfort: Reviewers consistently highlight the shoe's comfort, with many praising its cushioning and overall feel.
* Good Grip: The HyperFlex provides excellent grip, which is crucial for a stable swing.
* Easy Spike Installation: One reviewer mentioned the ease of installing replaceable spikes, which is a practical feature for long-term use.
* Lightweight Design: Several reviewers noted the shoe's lightweight design, contributing to overall comfort.
* Stylish Appearance: The shoe's design is well-regarded, with one reviewer stating it "looks cool."
* Good Price: One reviewer noted the price was cheaper than local golf shops.
Cons:
* Inconsistent Sizing: The most significant issue is the inconsistent sizing, with many reviewers reporting that the shoes run large.
* Lateral Support Issues: Some users experienced weak lateral support, which could affect stability on uneven terrain.
* Durability Concerns: One reviewer noted the material stains easily and is unsuitable for winter use.
The FootJoy HyperFlex golf shoes (2025) offer a compelling combination of comfort and grip, making them a potentially great choice for golfers. However, the sizing inconsistencies and potential issues with lateral support and durability are significant drawbacks. Before purchasing, you should carefully consider the sizing issues and potentially try on a pair in person or order multiple sizes to ensure a proper fit. If you prioritize comfort and grip and are willing to navigate the sizing challenges, the HyperFlex could be a good option. However, if you need reliable support on uneven terrain or play in various weather conditions, you might want to consider other options. Overall, the shoe's performance is good, but the sizing issue and durability concerns prevent it from being a top-tier product.
Best Shoe Brand In Golf. Awesome golf shoes! I really did my research on these, and they are amazing. Very comfortable, and the spikes are easy to install. I like golf shoes with replaceable spikes, because it is cheap switch out the spikes when they start wearing down. One issue: Per many of the comments below, these do run big. I am typically a 9.5 in size, but ordered a size 9 and they fit perfect.Highly recommend!!
Comfortable - Sturdy - Quality. I’m a huge Footjoy/Dryjoy fan and have many pair of their Premiers in size 12. Bought these for a practice shoe that would stand up to some hard work. The 12’s were a full size too big. Ordered 11’s they fit perfectly. Very happy with these but make sure you drop 1 size.
Great shoe, but fit is very long. Comfortable, light weight shoe with a 2 year waterproof warranty. These shoes are made very long. I ordered a 9 wide based on an old pair of Foot Joys I had and found that this shoe left over 2 inches of space between my toe and the front of the shoe. The pro shop at my golf club had a pair of 8.5 to try on and they were still too long. I ended up buying a pair of 8 Xtra Wide and they fit perfectly. Can't speak to durability or how effective the waterproofing is as I haven't had them long enough to know.
Remarkably comfortable. While some reviewers have complained about issues related to sizing, I didn't find that to be a problem. I'm size 10 with a medium width, and these fit perfectly...better than my prior pair of Footjoy DNA Helix shoes which I found to run on the narrow side. I've had bilateral Achilles tendon tears and repairs so am very sensitive to how my shoes fit - particular if there is any undue pressure or rubbing towards the heal, and these are marvelous. I walked the first round I played in them and my feet felt great.
Fits me well!. I have a very hard time finding comfortable shoes, but these work very well for me! Every manufacturers shoes seem to fit me very differently, but I normally wear a 13 or 14 and usually in wide. The 13 wide in this shoe fits me very well. They are light and very comfortable right out of the box.
