The Bushnell Tour V6 Shift is a laser rangefinder designed for golfers, offering features like slope compensation and Pinseeker technology. It's a mid-range offering from a well-known brand, and many users have shared their experiences. This review synthesizes those reviews to give you a clear picture of what to expect.
Many users rave about the accuracy of the V6 Shift. Reviewers consistently mention the device's ability to quickly and accurately lock onto the pin. You'll find comments like, "crystal clear optics and locks on target instantly." The JOLT technology (vibration when the pin is acquired) is also a frequently praised feature, making it easy to confirm your target. However, some users have reported issues with the device's performance in certain conditions. One user mentioned that the rangefinder struggled when there were trees in the background, providing inaccurate yardages. Another user reported that their unit started reading incorrect distances after a few uses.
Pros:
* Accuracy: Many users find the V6 Shift to be highly accurate in providing yardages to the pin. Reviewers frequently mention the speed and reliability of the readings.
* Ease of Use: The device is generally considered easy to use, with a straightforward interface and intuitive controls. Many users appreciate the simplicity.
* JOLT Technology: The vibrating confirmation when the pin is acquired is a popular feature, providing tactile feedback.
* Magnetic Mount: The built-in magnetic mount is a convenient feature, allowing you to easily attach the rangefinder to a golf cart. This is a common praise.
* Clear Optics: The optics are generally considered to be clear and bright, making it easy to see the target, even in bright sunlight.
* Slope Functionality: The slope feature is useful for calculating distances on uneven terrain, and is a frequently cited feature.
Cons:
* Durability Concerns: Several users have reported issues with the device's durability. Some have experienced the power button cap falling off, or the device malfunctioning after a short period of use.
* Customer Service Issues: Some users have reported negative experiences with Bushnell's customer service, particularly when seeking repairs or replacements.
* Potential for Inaccurate Readings: As mentioned earlier, some users have experienced inaccurate readings, particularly when there are obstructions in the background.
The Bushnell Tour V6 Shift is a solid rangefinder with many positive attributes. The accuracy, ease of use, and JOLT technology make it a popular choice. However, potential buyers should be aware of the reported durability concerns and the possibility of customer service issues. If you prioritize accuracy and ease of use, and are willing to accept the potential risks, the V6 Shift is a good option. However, if durability and customer service are paramount, you may want to consider other options. Consider the reports of the power button cap falling off, and the device malfunctioning. Also, the reports of the rangefinder struggling when there are trees in the background, providing inaccurate yardages.
Ultimately, the V6 Shift offers a good balance of features and performance, but it's not without its drawbacks. Weigh the pros and cons carefully before making your decision.
Hello everybody, I’m looking to purchase a rangefinder soon and I can’t decide between a Nikon Coolshot Pro ii Stabilized and a Bushnell Tour V6 Shift. Which one do you guys prefer?
Hey everyone, I’m having a really hard time and just need to get this out. Yesterday, I played a round of golf and accidentally left my brand new Bushnell Tour V6 Shift rangefinder (pictured) on the 8th tee box (blue/tips) at Langston Golf Course in Washington DC—along with one of my clubs. The club was found and turned in (thankfully), but the rangefinder is still missing. I called the pro shop, and so far, no one has turned it in. It wasn’t just a fancy gadget—it was a birthday gift, and it meant a lot to me. And now I can’t stop replaying everything in my head. I keep calling myself stupid, careless, a loser. I know that sounds dramatic, but I just feel so awful about it. Like I don’t deserve to have nice things or good moments because I always end up messing them up. I’ve made a flyer (pictured), contacted the course, and I’ve reached out to Bushnell to see if they sell refurbished ones because I can’t afford to replace it right now. But more than anything, I just feel defeated. Not just over the lost item, but over how quickly I turned on myself. If anyone else has ever lost something meaningful—or been in a place where a small mistake made you spiral—I’d really appreciate
I purchased a Bushnell V6 Tour Shift a few months ago and I think it's malfunctioning. Should the rangefinder show the slope reading on the screen after the vibration pin lock? Mine is not. What happens is I will look through the view finder, lock the pin, and it vibrates and shows the pin reading, but no slope is shown. After the reading goes away, it will then show a quick view of the slope reading but then go away. I would think that the slope should be shown at the same time as the pin lock vibrates. Can anyone confirm if mine is working correctly or not?

Daughter's 13th Birthday is coming up and she plays around 25 competitive rounds (US Kids, Interclub Matches, Junior High Team, Under Armor, etc.) a year and many more recreational rounds with her friends and myself. She's had a cheap amazon range finder for a while and it's time to upgrade. I've been toying with the idea of getting the Voice Caddie SL2 (https://voicecaddie.com/products/sl2-active-hybrid-gps-laser-rangefinder-breaking-eighty-special?bg\_ref=LYace9aDJV) for the GPS screen built in as this would help when she's on courses she doesn't get to play and doesn't know where the hazards are (happens in School golf a lot and they aren't allowed phones or watches). OR Should I just stick with the tried and true Bushnell Tour V6 (w/o Shift).
