Sos need help. I can’t find the correct parts for my breville oracle touch espresso machine, I need hoses from my boiler as well as the little rubber cap that holds the hoses in. Does anyone know where u can get them? #breville
I have the same issue, apparently Breville will not sell parts you have to send machine in and minimum price is $400 to fix.
You don’t need the rubber cap, but for hoses it’s worth sending a message to Brevtech. They sometimes sell parts from breaking machines.
I've read a lot of good reviews on Counter Culture coffee here. But this is the first time I purchased the coffee beans (I bought the [Colasay](https://counterculturecoffee.com/shop/coffee/americas/colasay) and [Hologram](https://counterculturecoffee.com/shop/coffee/hologram)). The coffee beans have been roasted 3-4 days ago. I am a complete noob to making coffee, and I'm so used to having a preset on the machine. I usually drink espresso, 2 shots, sometimes I'll add hot water to make it an Americano. I've tried looking up what grind setting I should use for these specific coffee beans on the machine but I couldn't find any and I'm really lost. So far, I've tried setting the grind to 30 for the Colasay. It turned out sour. I also tried setting the grind to 36 for the Hologram (I realize I should have tried a lower number..). It was even more sour than the Colasay. I read that if it's sour, it might be too coarse. I believe the Breville grind settings are: the higher the number the more coarse, the lower the number, the finer grind it is. But I'm unsure what grind setting to try next and didn't want to waste a whole bag. Any advice would help. Thank you!
I’ve just ordered my machine, so been learning about this stuff too! https://www.chefsteps.com/activities/the-espresso-recipe Here’s what I’m going to aim for (assuming a “medium” roast) - adjust the dosage to 20g (default is around 22g). This is a one-off change and not a button for it, you’ll need to look up instructions... - output at 1:2, so 20g in, 40g out (double shot I believe) - aiming for extraction time of 25-30 seconds, by adjusting the grind Yeah, I think you’re right - sour = under extracted (too course) - bitter = over extracted (too fine) By aiming for the “recipe” above, in theory that should nail a medium roast, or at least be a good starting point! (Ps. I’m totally new to all this stuff, but do like obsessively researching 😋 )
