EVO owners know we can use the my latte button and the bypass setting to get a cup of frothed milk for hot cocoa, so without that button you might have to waste a puck to get the same from teh START, but Delonghi on their website show it capable of making an entire cup of foam by itself (in their marketing shots) so I'm confused. When I first started looking, I was set on the DeLonghi Magnifica S, but then I saw the Magnifica Start and decided to go with that one. The Magnifica S Smart was interesting too. For the Evo, I think the milk goes through the system, so there’s a bit more cleaning involved with those pipes, or no? It’s easy to use, especially if you have many people or it’s for the office, but I like that you can steam your own milk. It feels more like a small barista machine and it’s easier to switch the milk if you want to use different types of oat milk or try different variations. They also released DeLonghi Magnifica Evo Next. As I understand, there are 3 different user profiles, so every family member can instantly get their own preferred coffee? Too many choices… I’m happy with my DeLonghi Start for now :D One downside is that there’s no lock for the smaller steam wand. With the bigger one you can lock it in place, but the smaller one can fly away if you play around with the steam for too long.
